Finally tried it...Chicken Crusted Pizza!

Easy to prepare, greats source of protein, and approved by the fam!

May not look like your favorite pizza place's dish, but it makes for a great healthy option! The one on the left has BBQ Sauce, tomato sauce and shredded mozarella for toppings (made this with our kid in mind), and the one on the right has BBQ sauce, tomato sauce and black beans for topping.

If you'e like many others, you probably wish that pizza was one of those foods that was actually helpful in trimming the waist, leaning up, and unclogging the arteries. While it's all good to go out for your favorite deep dish or thin crust once in a while, we all know that pizza doesn't exactly fall into the "healthy" list of food options (even if broccoli and spinach are among the toppings). And most of us have probably learned that eating pizza every day for dinner post college may get some judgmental looks from others. Insert Chicken Crusted Pizza! Being a low carb option, it's popular with Keto lovers. But for me, it's just an easy way to make a meal that my family loves to eat on the weekends. It's simple to make. Check out the details below. But don't expect any fancy stuff like "a tbsp of this" or "3.878 oz of that." Just not my language :)

Prep Time: About 10 minutes

Cook Time: Total of about 30 minutes

Ingredients:

Pizza:

16 oz of ground chicken for one pizza

Mrs. Dash Non-Salt Seasoning

Whatever other seasonings and herbs you like (I'm just careful using too much sodium)

Pizza and/or BBQ Sauce

Preheat oven to 400 degrees. Put ground chicken in bow and seasonings, herbs, flavorings to your liking. Mix it up, then spread it thinly over a pan. We were gifted with a Pyrex, so I didn't use any oil or spray to prevent from sticking in that one. Otherwise I try to use Non-Stick Aluminum foil. Otherwise, a little oil or spray oil can be used of course. Place chicken in to the oven for 20 minutes. Remove after 20 minutes and add desired toppings then place back in the oven for 10 minutes. Remove from oven and you DONE! Now most of ya'll will make prettier pizzas and make them entirely your own. Go ahead do your thing and let me know how it goes!
